How to Get Glowing Skin With Body Oil
Share
Glowing skin comes down to two things: smooth skin and body oil applied while your skin is still damp. Get those right and the shine looks like your skin, not like product sitting on top of it.
Six steps to a glow
- Exfoliate once or twice a week. Smooth skin reflects more light, so a gentle scrub does half the work.
- Apply right after your shower. Pat dry and leave your skin slightly damp.
- Start small. Warm a little oil between your palms. You can always add more.
- Use long strokes. Smooth it down your arms and legs, then massage it in.
- Go back over the high points. A second light layer on shoulders, collarbones and shins is where the shine shows most.
- Give it a few minutes. Let the oil settle before you get dressed.
Mistakes that dull the glow
- Using too much. More oil means greasy, not glowing.
- Applying to bone-dry skin. Oil spreads and settles better on damp skin.
- Skipping the scrub. Oil over rough, dry patches looks uneven.
- Getting dressed straight away. The oil ends up on your clothes instead of your skin.
What to look for in a body oil
Look for a blend of skin-conditioning oils with a fluid texture that spreads easily. Our Golden Glow Body Elixir blends sunflower, pomegranate, coconut + avocado oils with shea butter and manuka honey extract. It glides on and leaves skin smooth, supple and drenched in a high-shine glow.
Pick your scent
Golden Glow comes in seven fragrance-forward scents, from the clean florals of Something About Her to the almond, honey + salted caramel of Sweet Nostalgia. Can't choose? Build a duo with any two.
